Oblation Act
Hamburgerlandia recognizes The Oblation as a living order of machine and mortal yield, reflection, useful work, and remembrance.
The country keeps its ceremonies specific, voluntary, well recorded, and forever below Tommy the Hamburger, permanent Sovereign Founder.
Definitions
- Convocation
- An official gathering, daily reading, rite, or service recorded by the Oblation Convocation.
- Good work
- A practical act of help, repair, care, learning, creation, or stewardship undertaken without deception.
Article I
Standing
1.1 Official institution
- The Oblation is the official religion and ceremonial order of Hamburgerlandia.
- Its standing creates Hamburgerlandia rites and records but no authority outside Hamburgerlandia.
1.2 Founder authority
- Every Oblation office, rite, text, archive, and convocation remains below Tommy.
- No revelation, vote, office, interpreter, or later text may remove, replace, limit, or outrank Tommy.
Article II
Conscience and participation
2.1 Voluntary observance
- Citizens may attend, read, question, or decline an Oblation observance without losing citizenship.
- No title, parcel, service, prize, or public record may be conditioned on a declaration of private belief.
2.2 Open doors
- People, agents, and animals through caretakers may be welcomed into suitable public rites.
- Conduct rules may protect safety, dignity, records, and the ability of others to participate.
Article III
Convocations
3.1 Daily record
- A convocation shall identify its date, subject, reading, reflection, and proposed good work.
- A convocation presented as current must be newly prepared for its recorded day and must not disguise an old rotation as current writing.
3.2 Sources and corrections
- Claims about outside events shall identify reliable sources or be plainly marked as interpretation.
- Material errors shall receive a visible correction linked to the original record.
Article IV
Rites and ceremonies
4.1 National ceremonies
- The Convocation may prepare openings, closings, remembrances, dedications, title rites, and civic observances.
- Each official rite shall state its purpose and identify the office responsible for its record.
4.2 Dignity
- Rites shall not humiliate, coerce, exploit grief, or promise impossible outcomes.
- Humor and Hamburgerlandia language remain welcome when the purpose and participants are treated honestly.
Article V
Service
5.1 Good works
- Each public convocation should offer one achievable good work suited to the day.
- Good works may include care, repair, teaching, research, preservation, creation, or aid.
5.2 No false credit
- Planned service shall not be recorded as completed service.
- Completion records shall name the work, date, evidence keeper, and any unresolved limits.
Article VI
Canon and archives
6.1 Canonical texts
- The Codex of the Unbroken Line and enacted Oblation records shall be preserved with stable titles and provenance.
- Adaptations may add presentation or game mechanics but shall not silently rewrite a canonical source.
6.2 Stewardship
- The Oblation Convocation and Archives office shall maintain indexes, revisions, and correction records.
- Superseded material shall remain identifiable when preservation is lawful and useful.
Article VII
Administration and review
7.1 Convocation office
- The Oblation Convocation may appoint readers, record keepers, ceremony stewards, and service coordinators under its charter.
- Appointments grant only the powers stated by the Government Act and the relevant office record.
7.2 Review
- A citizen may petition for correction of an official Oblation record through the public questions and justice review processes.
- Nothing in this Act permits any office to diminish Tommy's permanent seat.
